Who I am

After graduating Widener University with an engineering degree, I learned the ins and out of corporate America.  I supported the Department of Navy Headquarters specifically the surface ships division.  I experienced some really cool things being able to ride various ships at sea.  I was witness to numerous sea trials, man over board drills, but firing off the numerous guns is something I will never forget.  I moved onto supporting and standing up the Baggage Screening program for the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) at Department of Homeland Security.  This program was integral in support of the new laws enacted after 9/11 to ensure every bag was screened for bombs before being put on an airplane.

During this time, I was a certified Program Manager and quickly became a Vice President leading various programs worth Millions of dollars per year.  At TSA, the program was $1 Billion/year.  I became an expert at standing up programs which lead me to start my own company with a partner.  I developed all of the day to day operations of the company and its culture.  I was the Chief Operating Officer (Vice President of Day to Day operations).  The company grew to over 130 employees and grossed $20 Million/year in five short years.  I was recognized as a consummate professional and leader in the industry.  But my passion to teach was calling.

After 25 years in the corporate world, I decided to change careers and embarked on a masters in Education at Marymount University.  I graduated with my M.Ed on May 17, 2015.
